Hi, I’m Danis – a dad of two and the person behind Newborn Stages.

My son is 9 and my daughter is 5. Between the two of them, I’ve lived through just about every question, worry, and sleepless night that new parenthood throws at you.

When my first child was born, I quickly realized how hard it was to find parenting information that was actually clear, honest, and written by someone who understood what it felt like to be in the thick of it. Most articles were either too vague to be useful, too clinical to be readable, or written by people who seemed to have forgotten what those early days really feel like.

So I started Newborn Stages.

What This Site Is About

Newborn Stages covers everything from the first days home with a newborn to the busy toddler years — development milestones, sleep, feeding, health, daily care, and more. Everything I write is grounded in careful research and cross-referenced with pediatric guidelines, but always written in plain language that a tired parent at 3am can actually follow.

I cover ages 0–3, which are the years that matter most for development — and the years when parents have the most questions.

Why Trust Me?

I won’t pretend to be something I’m not. I’m not a pediatrician or a child psychologist. What I am is a father who has been through the newborn and toddler stages twice, who takes research seriously, and who genuinely cares about giving other parents accurate, helpful information.

Every article on this site is written with one question in mind: would this have actually helped me when I needed it most?
