Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: July 2026

Newborn Stages is free to read. We keep it that way partly through affiliate links, and we think you should know exactly how that works before you click one.

What an affiliate link is

Some links on this site mostly in our gear and product review sections are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise; the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.

Not every link on this site is an affiliate link. Links to the AAP, CDC, WHO, NHS, Mayo Clinic, peer-reviewed research and other health sources earn us nothing and exist purely to support what we’ve written.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

www.newbornstages.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon (.com, .co.uk, .ca and other Amazon sites).

Amazon, the Amazon logo, AmazonSupply, and the AmazonSupply logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Other programs we participate in

Alongside Amazon Associates, we may participate in other affiliate networks and individual brand programs, including:

  • CJ Affiliate
  • ShareASale
  • Impact
  • Clickbank
  • Individual retailer and brand programs and more.

How commission affects what we recommend

It doesn’t. Our recommendations are based on the product, not the commission rate, and we have never accepted payment in exchange for a positive review or a place on a “best of” list.

In practice, that means:

  • We recommend products we would recommend without a commission attached.
  • We say when a product has drawbacks, and we say when a cheaper option is the better buy.
  • If a brand sends us a product to test, we say so in that review. Receiving a sample never guarantees a positive write-up.

Advertising

This site also displays third-party display advertising. Those ads are served by ad networks, are not chosen by us, and are not endorsements. See our Disclaimer for more.

Safety comes first

Baby gear is one area where the cheapest option isn’t always the safe one. We don’t recommend car seats, sleep products, or other safety-critical items on price alone, and nothing on this site replaces the guidance of your pediatrician or the manufacturer’s own safety instructions. Please read our Disclaimer.
